Letter to the Editor: Watson for constable

by | Apr 27, 2026 | Letter to Editor

I’m proud to endorse Jason Watson as a write-in candidate for constable in our upcoming Town Election.

What I most admire about Jason is his quiet, consistent commitment to inclusion. He’s the kind of person who notices who’s at the table and who isn’t, and who works to make sure every neighbor feels they belong here. In a town as wonderfully diverse as ours, that instinct matters. Whether he’s volunteering at community events, supporting causes that lift up underrepresented voices, or simply showing up for neighbors when it counts, Jason leads with the belief that Hopkinton is strongest when it’s a home for everyone.

The role of constable involves serving official notices, delivering legal documents and posting notifications for elections and town meetings. It’s part of the everyday infrastructure of local democracy, a role that touches every household, and it deserves someone who treats every resident with the same respect and care. Jason will.

I’ve come to know Jason through our shared advocacy on issues we both believe in, and time and again I’ve watched him stand up for fairness, dignity and belonging — not for credit, but because it’s simply who he is. That’s the kind of character I want representing our town in any official capacity.

Please join me in writing in Jason Watson for constable on May 18. A vote for Jason is a vote for a Hopkinton where everyone counts.

— Sravana Krishna
