Letter to the Editor: Watson for constable

by | Apr 26, 2026 | Letter to Editor

I am writing to support Jason Watson for the position of constable (write-in candidate).

Jason is a steady and reliable member of our community who understands the importance of keeping residents informed and engaged. The role of constable — serving official letters and subpoenas and posting notices for elections and town meetings — is an important part of maintaining transparency and communication within the town, and it is a responsibility he would take seriously.

He has also volunteered his time on a number of community efforts, including helping keep people safe during local gatherings and events. His willingness to step in where needed reflects his commitment to the town and its residents.

I have known Jason for a long time, and we have worked together advocating for and supporting issues we both believe in. I’m glad to see him step up to serve in this capacity, and I believe he would be a real asset to our town.

I hope you’ll join me in writing in Jason Watson for constable in the May 18 Town Election.

— Nasiba Mannan, Hopkinton
