Library Corner, May 19 edition

Announcements
On April 26 the library moved to a new way to book curbside pickups. The reservation system is integrated into patrons’ online catalog accounts and will allow users to book an appointment directly from the “Manage Your Account” library card portal at bark.cwmars.org/eg/opac/myopac/main?loc=55. Individuals will need the account access information for the library card on which the holds are placed. Anyone in need of their library card number should contact the library. The pickup location remains at the Church Street entrance.

Seasonal Cooking Workshop: Celebrate Spring
Wednesday, May 19, 6-7:15 p.m. (Zoom)
Nancy Wind, founder of Peaks and Poses, will present the first of two seasonal cooking workshops that will celebrate spring. Participants can cook along with her or simply watch. In May, she will be making palak tofu. Register in advance on the website calendar to receive the Zoom link.

Society for Financial Awareness Series: Social Security Explained
Tuesday, May 25, 7 p.m. (Zoom)
Marc Catona from the Society for Financial Awareness (sofausa.org) will discuss the type of benefits individuals are eligible to receive, the difference between full retirement age and delayed retirement, the process of filing for benefits, retirement planning strategies, and annuity type distinction.
