Local students honored for college success

Nine Hopkinton residents received degrees from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in May. Jeremy Jacobs was awarded a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering with high distinction. Jonathan Palczynski was awarded a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering with distinction. Blake Dobay was awarded a Bachelor of Science in computer science. Evan Goldstein was awarded a Bachelor of Science in computer science. Daniel Barra was awarded a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with distinction. Abigail Gilbert was awarded a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with high distinction. Kyle Heavey was awarded a Bachelor of Science in robotics engineering. Michael Twardowski was awarded a doctorate in robotics engineering. Matthew Moniz was awarded a Master of Business Administration degree.

Also at WPI, Rajkumar Dandekar, a member of the Class of 2021 who is majoring in mechanical engineering, was part of a student team that recently completed an intense research project titled Recording Human Stories in a Time of Crisis. …

At Quinnipiac University, Olivia Centrella received a Bachelor of Science in psychology, Adam Cronin received a Bachelor of Science in management, Katelyn Curry received a Master of Business Administration, Megan Kelley received a Master of Teaching Elementary, Jack Marcou received a Bachelor of Science in management, Conor Murphy received a Bachelor of Science in accounting, Dario Venuto received a Master of Business Administration, Victoria Wauters received a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and Nathan Wilson received a Bachelor of Science in health science studies.
