Lois Roberta (Melvin) Frost, 81, of East Sandwich passed away on what would have been her 56th wedding anniversary, Aug. 21, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis with her loving children by her side. She was married to the late Stanley Frederick Frost. She was born to the late Curtis and Grace Melvin (McDormande) in Hopkinton on July 18, 1940.

Lois grew up in Hopkinton. She graduated from the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists at Northeastern University and became a dental hygienist. She enjoyed vacations in Truro, gardening, long walks and spending time with friends and family. She also was an active member of the First Church of Christ in Sandwich.

She is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Mahon of East Sandwich and son Curtis “Curt” Frost and wife Karen of Lakemoore, Illinois, and her grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Megan and James.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. at the First Church of Christ in Sandwich, 136 Main St. She will be buried at the Massachusetts National Cemetery privately. Services are under the care of the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Lois’s name to the First Church of Christ, Sandwich, at firstchurchsandwich.org.
