Main Street Corridor Project update: Eastbound detours all week

by | Oct 16, 2022 | News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, there will be an eastbound detour from Pleasant Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street and back to Main Street on Monday and Tuesday, then an eastbound detour from Grove Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street and back to Main Street from Wednesday through Friday.

On the east side of the project, workers will continue underground service connections up to property lines from Muffin House to Ash Street.

At the Route 135/Route 85 intersection, workers will continue installing new traffic signals and removing old ones, finalize installation of light pole bases and remove old poles, and focus on guard rail work next to CVS.

On the west side of the project, work will be done on the guard rail outside Next Generations Children’s Center.

Project-wide, workers will raise castings on manholes.

Working hours for the Main Street Corridor Project are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. No detours, one-lane closures or road closures are allowed from 7-9 a.m.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
