Main Street Corridor Project update: Eastbound detours in place this week

by | Jun 4, 2023 | Business, News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, the eastbound detour from Pleasant Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street will be used at the beginning of the week, while the eastbound detour from Grove Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street will be used later in the week.

On the east side of the project, workers will continue installation of conduit for site lighting from Muffin House Cafe to Ash Street (work will take place in the excavated sidewalk area). Additionally, crews will raise structures, including catch basins and manholes for electric and communications vaults, and set the curb from Muffin House Cafe to Ash Street.

On the west side of the project, crews will focus on sidewalk installation and finish the retaining walls at 2 and 5 West Main Street.

Site wide, Eversource representatives will pull underground wiring at various locations.

Working hours for the Main Street Corridor Project are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. No detours, one-lane closures or road closures are allowed from 7-9 a.m.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
