Main Street Corridor Project update: Eastbound detours Monday, Tuesday

by | Jul 9, 2023 | Business, News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, the eastbound detour from Pleasant Street to Maple Street to Grove Street/Hayden Rowe will be used Monday and Tuesday. The Town Hall entrance driveway will be two-way on Monday while the exit driveway is closed, and the entrance driveway will be closed on Tuesday, with access maintained via two-way traffic at the exit driveway.

On the east side of the project, crews will continue installation of conduit and bases for site lighting from Muffin House Cafe to Ash Street (work will take place in the excavated sidewalk area). Crews also will work on installation of the granite curb and grading and pouring of concrete sidewalks in the same area.

On the west side of the project, workers will reset the curb from Mayhew Street to Mount Auburn Street, and grade and pour concrete sidewalks.

Working hours for the Main Street Corridor Project are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. No detours, one-lane closures or road closures are allowed from 7-9 a.m.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
