Main Street Corridor Project update: Eastbound detours through Wednesday this week

by | Nov 20, 2022 | News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, the eastbound detour from Pleasant Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street and back to Main Street will be in place Monday through Wednesday. The eastbound detour from Grove Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street and back to Main Street also will be used Monday through Wednesday.

Project-wide, the contractor will continue installing hardware in underground electric vaults, work on temporary paving of remaining sidewalk and driveway areas that do not have concrete from Wood Street to Muffin House (but not the sidewalk behind the bike lane), and work on pavement for depressed areas around water gates and manholes.

On the east side of the project, service connections will be continued between Muffin House and Church Street.

On the west side of the project, the contractor will work on gravel and grading of the bike lane in preparation for pavement.

Working hours for the Main Street Corridor Project are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. No detours, one-lane closures or road closures are allowed from 7-9 a.m.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
