Main Street Corridor Project update: Road paving set to begin Wednesday

by | Mar 26, 2023 | Business, News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, crews are scheduled to begin paving work Wednesday in preparation for the Boston Marathon. The work will take place on the east side of the project only — from Grove Street to Ray Street. The eastbound detour from Grove Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street will be used on Wednesday and Thursday.

Milling will take place on Wednesday, followed by paving on Thursday. Temporary line striping will be done Thursday night after the paving is completed.

Working hours for the project are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. No detours, one lane closures or road closures are allowed between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
