Main Street Corridor Project update: Winterizing gravel, adjusting structures on tap this week

by | Aug 27, 2023 | Business, News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, crews will winterize some sections of gravel and perform temporary paving on those areas throughout the site. Workers also will continue adjusting various structures that have settled in the road and potentially pave the top course for the bike lane (pending structure adjustments).

On both the east and west side of the project, loam will be placed in various areas and on-site cleanup work will be performed.

Work may impact traffic and require lane and sidewalk closures, limiting access to driveways and entrances to businesses.

Working hours for the Main Street Corridor Project are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. No detours, one-lane closures or road closures are allowed from 7-9 a.m.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
