Main Street water main to be shut off Wednesday morning for road work

by | Jul 19, 2021 | News

Water-Sewer Department manager Eric Carty announced Monday that due to a utility conflict with new drains being installed, the water main on a section of Main Street will be shut down on Wednesday (July 21) for several hours.

The affected water main is located between Pleasant Street and Wood Street.

The water will be shut off at approximately 8:30 a.m. and stay off for several hours, Carty stated. After the water is back on, residents may notice some air or discoloration and might need to flush the cold water line.
