Leading up to the Oct. 11 Boston Marathon, the Independent will profile local charity runners. This issue we highlight Jamie Weeden, who is running to raise funds for the Hopkinton Women’s Club.
Weeden and her husband, Treavor, have been active in the running community since their first half-marathon over 20 years ago. She has successfully completed over 10 marathons and ultramarathons, including the Boston Marathon and most recently the Yeti 24 Hour Challenge. She dreams of running a 100-mile ultramarathon.
Weeden, who lives in Hopkinton with her family, is the co-owner of Resilience Fitness, a gym on South Street.
“It’s a great place to find other people who also want to run!” she said.
All donations to Weeden’s Boston Marathon fundraiser (gofund.me/025f9f83) will go toward the Hopkinton Women’s Club’s many philanthropic outreach programs.
