Margaret Carol Ring

Margaret Carol Ring, 84, of Hopkinton, passed away Dec. 11 at Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. Born in Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Cornelius Mahoney. She was the wife of the late David F. Ring.

Peggy was a caring wife, mother, nana, sister and friend. Spending time with her large, loving family brought her great joy! She enjoyed family trips to Disney World, the Outer Banks, camping and Hampton Beach. She also loved going on cruises, or visiting casinos with her husband, friends and sisters. Spending time with the people she loved made her the happiest.

Peggy is survived by five children, Virginia Sokol and her husband, Robert, of Mendon, David Ring and his wife, Dianne, of Holliston, Carolyn Stotz of Framingham, Susan Quintiliani and her husband, Ronald, of Mansfield, and Barbara Eget and her husband, Jeffrey, of Bordentown, New Jersey. She also leaves behind her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Crawford and her husband, David, of Rockland; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was celebrated Dec. 15 at St. John the Evangelist Church of Hopkinton. Burial was to be held privately at Bourne National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton.
