Maryana (Sheahan) Robertson, 80 of Sea Bright, New Jersey, passed away on June 11 after a long illness. Born in Cambridge on April 22, 1939, Maryana graduated in 1956 from Hopkinton High School, where she played on the girls basketball team and sang in the glee club, among other interests.
She met her husband, James Robertson, moved to Monmouth County, New Jersey, and raised four daughters. She earned her nursing degree from Brookdale Community College and enjoyed traveling, cooking, antiquing and sharing her passion for cultural immersion. She was an animal lover, rescuing many cats, dogs and even a duck. Maryana loved her yearly summer trips to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, with family.
Predeceased by her husband, she is survived by her brother, Paul Sheahan, and his wife, Lydia, of Brooksville, Florida, her daughters and their spouses, Suzanne and George Tranfaglia of Orlando, Florida, Kathleen and Michael Grady of Long Branch, New Jersey, Sheila and Joseph Eskridge of Sea Bright, New Jersey, and Bonnie and John Travers of Upper St. Clair, Pennsylivania, as well as four grandchildren: Maria Tranfaglia, Ryan Eskridge and Patrick and Christopher Travers.
