Middle school offers counseling after death of student

by | Sep 2, 2020 | News, Z-Lead Image Front Page

Hopkinton Middle School principal Alan Keller emailed the school community Tuesday to announce that grief counselors would be available Wednesday following the death of a middle school student.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you of the death of one of our middle school students. Out of respect for the family, we are not releasing the student’s name,” Keller wrote. “We have convened our Crisis Response Team at the Middle School to put supports in place for students and staff.”

The email indicated that counseling would be available from 10 a.m.-noon and 4-6 p.m.

Added Keller: “Our school community is deeply saddened by this loss and we extend our sincere sympathy to the family of our student.”
