Mona Komari

Mona A. (Chamoun) Komari passed away at her home in Westborough on July 21, surrounded by her loving family. She was 77 years old.

Mona was the dear devoted wife of the late Adib Komari. She was the loving mother of Lily Komry and her husband Victor of Canton, Hala Chamoun and her husband Antoine of Grafton, Rima Mallouh and her husband Joseph of Hopkinton, Tony Komari and his wife Suzanne of Rhode Island, Maroun Komari and his wife Hillary of Franklin, and John Komari and his wife Christine of Westborough. She was the beloved grandmother “Tata” of 15 grandchildren and cherished great-grandmother “Big Tata” of three great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Joseph Shamoon of Westwood, Jannette Zaatar of Lebanon and the late George Chamoun and Rose Nackley. She also is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Mona’s funeral service was held July 24 at St. Matthew’s Syriac Orthodox Church in West Roxbury, and she was laid to rest with her beloved Adib at St. Luke’s Cemetery in Westborough. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mona’s memory may be made to the church.

Services were under the care of the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home in West Roxbury (kfouryfuneral.com).
