John Coutinho putting protective masks on Team Hoyt statue

Select Board member John Coutinho (in bottom photos) and 26.2 Foundation director Bruce MacDonald placed protective masks on the two Boston Marathon statues in town — The Starter and Team Hoyt — to show support for the fight against COVID-19. The masks were created by Hopkinton High School student Emily Karp.

Update: In photos below, the Spirit of the Marathon statue at Weston Nurseries gets its masks from John Coutinho and Weston Nurseries owner Peter Mezzit.
