Police Department seeks officer to fill vacancy

The Hopkinton Police Department announced Friday that it is seeking qualified applicants to fill a vacancy for a full-time police officer position.

“The Hopkinton Police Department is seeking to add a highly qualified individual to our ranks to continue our efforts in maintaining a safe and peaceful community,” Chief Joseph Bennett said in a press release. “We encourage all those who have attended or who are currently enrolled in a police academy to apply.”

The position is only open to candidates who have either successfully passed and received certification from a full-time police officer training academy or currently are enrolled and attending the training academy as recognized by the Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC).

Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Aug. 12.
