Tammy Sullivan

Tammy Sullivan

Tammy A. Sullivan of Waltham died April 16 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 58 years old.

Born in Framingham on Oct. 2, 1963, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Patricia (Lowd) Sullivan. A graduate of Framingham High School, she had worked for various software and technology companies including Intranets.com (later known as Webex-Cisco) and Locus Robotics, where she had worked as an accounting manager.

Tammy was kind to everyone she met and made fast friends with all who crossed her path. Known for being anything but shy, she embodied the saying “There are no such things as strangers … just friends we haven’t met yet,” and always had genuine concern for others. She loved reading, riding motorcycles and watching her favorite science fiction movies and television programs, especially “The Orville” series. An avid cat lover, she never went a day without having at least two beloved feline friends. In addition, she made many happy memories as a child camping with her family.

Tammy leaves her siblings, Thomas Sullivan of Hopkinton, Charles Alexander of Mashpee, Sharon Crowley of Milford and Cheryl Sullivan of Framingham, many nieces, nephews and cousins, and her aunt, Linda Willk of Framingham.

Family and friends will honor and remember Tammy’s life by gathering for calling hours in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Route 20), Waltham, on Thursday, April 21, from 4-7 p.m., followed by a prayer service and sharing of memories at 7 p.m. Burial will be private. A memorial Mass will be said in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130 (mspca.org).
