The Spoon diner to close Sunday for rest of winter

by | Jan 6, 2021 | Featured: News, News

The Spoon, a popular local diner located at 1 Lumber St., announced that after business this Sunday it will close its doors for the rest of the winter.

“This is not an easy decision, but we feel it is the right decision for our business & family that we close through this winter season,” the announcement reads. “Sunday, January 10th will be our last day open until further notice.

“Our company is extremely grateful for the outpouring of support we have received during these troubling times and we hope to be able to show our appreciation under better circumstances. It is with your support over the years that we feel comfortable in our decision. We are looking forward to using this time to regroup, rest and set ourselves up for a better 2021 season.

“Do not be sad for us as we know how fortunate we are to be established in a community who cares for our business and family so deeply. We can not wait to celebrate life & happiness with you over good food, coffee & company in upcoming years.”

Also on Tuesday, the Hopkinton Public Library announced that due to the COVID-19 surge it will close for at least two weeks, starting Friday. Remote/curbside services will continue to be offered.
