Marathon road closures start at 6:30 a.m. Monday

Roads immediately surrounding the Town Common will close to traffic Monday at 6:30 a.m. in preparation for the start of the Boston Marathon, the town announced. Other main and accessory roads in the vicinity will close to traffic at 7 a.m.

Live updates about the event and road openings will be posted on Hopkinton’s Twitter account. Additional information and resources can be found at the town’s Boston Marathon webpage or the Boston Athletic Association website.

Town Hall, the library and other municipal buildings will be closed Monday for the Patriots’ Day holiday.
