Library announces changes to hours starting in May

by | Apr 11, 2022 | News

The Hopkinton Public Library will adjust its hours starting in May, the town announced Monday.

Beginning May 1, the library will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

With this adjustment, the library will offer the same amount of walk-in hours each day but will open and close each day one hour earlier to better accommodate residents’ needs, the town announced.

Library computers will be shut down 15 minutes before closing, as will the Reference Department and Children’s Department. The return drop at the library’s Church Street entrance will continue to be open 24/7.

“We are making these changes in response to community needs and feedback, and hope that the new hours will help more residents be able to visit the library and check out all of the materials and programming we have to offer,” Hopkinton Public Library Director Nanci Hill stated.
