Main Street Corridor Project update: Single lane of alternating traffic on East Main Street next 2 weeks

by | May 7, 2022 | News

The Main Street Corridor Project will continue over the next two weeks with the installation of electric manholes in front of the Town Common and east of 5 East Main Street, the town announced. For work east of 5 East Main Street, a single lane of alternating traffic will be required, including overnight. A single lane of traffic also may be necessary for the manhole in front of the Town Common, but only during the hours of 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Police details will direct traffic.

On-street parking will be impacted during work to install Comcast and telephone manholes at Main Street/Church Street, 28 Main Street and 36 Main Street.

Other work scheduled for this week includes saw cuts for vaults and duct banks, conduit installation for the traffic signal at the Fire Station, and conduit work on the Wood Street traffic signals.
