Work on the Main Street Corridor Project continues this week — although there will be no work Monday due to the Labor Day holiday — with the focus being to continue the service connections project wide and continue sidewalk installation on the project’s west side, the town announced. Pleasant Street and Elm Street detours will be used as needed.

New granite curbs will be installed along Main Street working eastbound from West Main Street to the Fire Station. Workers will continue to grade and compact and continue forming sidewalks between Wood Street and the Fire Station. Affected property owners will be notified in advance when concrete sidewalk work will take place at the end of driveways, as access will be impacted (emergency vehicle access will be maintained).

On East Main Street, workers will continue Comcast duct bank work.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
