Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.

The Select Board had a busy agenda Tuesday night, discussing — and hearing opposition to — the proposed regional emergency call center, talking about proposed structural changes to the police department, and meeting the town’s new police and firefighter hires.

The Planning Board at its meeting Monday night voted to continue the hearing on the Capobianco family subdivision on Morse Lane after nearly an hour of discussion to allow Principal Planner John Gelcich time to draft clearer language on the findings and conditions regarding the property for a vote at the next meeting on Dec. 19.

This week’s Senior Snippets includes information on programs focusing on holiday stress, art appreciation and physical therapy/fall safety.

The Hopkinton High School Habitat for Humanity Club is hosting a gingerbread house fundraising event on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the HHS cafeteria.

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts will host a Ceramic Student Showcase in the second-floor barn loft on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

St. John the Evangelist Church and the Southeastern Massachusetts Community Concert Band will present their 23rd annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 3 p.m.

Town meetings tonight include the Elementary School Building Committee (6), Upper Charles Trail Committee (6), Hopkinton Marathon Committee (7) and Trustees of the School Fund (8:30).
