Charlotte Masters

Charlotte Jean Masters, age 5, of Hopkinton, went to heaven the morning of Nov. 6. She was held lovingly by her parents as she became an angel. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Chris and Genny Masters.

Charlotte’s smile would light up any room she was in. She would turn her Dad into a puddle when he would come home from work and she would greet him with her beautiful smile. She loved cuddling with Mom and was most happy when she was in her arms. Charlotte loved to swim, and the beaches of Ocean City, New Jersey, was her favorite place to be. She loved playing in the sand with her brother, sister and cousins but was happiest playing in the waves.

Despite her many medical challenges that took many of her abilities away from her, she lived life to the fullest. She loved being a part of whatever the group was doing and always wanted to join in and be included. She loved going to school and loved her teachers and therapists at both the Hopkinton Integrated Preschool and the Boston College Campus School. She was born a fighter and fought her little heart out right up to her last breath.

Charlotte was loved by so many people, but especially her twin sister, Annie, and her brother, Chase; her maternal grandparents, Jean and Chris Johnson of West Chester, Pennsylvania; her paternal grandparents, the late Peter Masters Sr. and Karolyn Masters of Bedford; her aunts and uncles, Matt Johnson of Lake Tahoe, California, Peter and Amy Masters of Bedford, Kristine Masters of Rome, Italy, and Katy and Kyle O’Connor of Bedford; as well as her cousins, Jackson, Alexa, Landon, Sadie, Bridget, Kierstyn, Paige, Emma and Christian.

A memorial service was held Nov. 12 at Faith Community Church of Hopkinton, followed by a reception to celebrate her life at Hopkinton Country Club. To honor Charlotte, the family asked attendees to wear pink. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlotte’s memory may be made to The Campus School at Boston College (bc.edu/bc-web/).

Arrangements were under the care of the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton (ChesmoreFuneralHome.com).
