Hopkinton Today: Tuesday, Feb. 13

by | Feb 13, 2024 | Featured: Features, Hopkinton Today

Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo of the day.

As a snowstorm headed for Hopkinton, Superintendent Carol Cavanaugh announced early Monday evening that public schools in town will be closed Tuesday. The snow is expected to start around 1 a.m. and last until the afternoon, with 5-6 inches of total snowfall.

With the town election on the horizon on May 20, two veteran Select Board members announced this week that they are not seeking reelection. Chair Muriel Kramer has decided to run for a seat on the Governor’s Council instead, while Irfan Nasrullah plans to spend more time with his growing family.

This week’s Real Estate Transactions list shows four sales, including Toll Brothers’ $9 million purchase of the property off Blueberry Lane where the Elmwood Farms III subdivision is to be constructed.

Our latest Business Profile highlights Pro Comfort Control, an experienced company that focuses on designing and installing heating and cooling systems, with a specialization in heat pumps.

Town meetings tonight include the Select Board (6).
