I am pleased to offer my endorsement of Kyla McSweeney for reelection to the School Committee.
Over the past year, as a member of the Hopkinton Select Board, I have had the opportunity to work closely with Kyla, particularly through the school budget process and broader town priorities. She has demonstrated steady, thoughtful leadership and a collaborative approach that is essential to effective governance. Kyla brings a deep understanding of both school and municipal matters, and she consistently works to align decisions with what is best for our students and community.
As chair of the School Committee, Kyla has led with purpose and inclusivity. From co-chairing the superintendent search to engaging families and stakeholders in key decisions, she has shown a commitment to transparency, listening and bringing people together to solve complex challenges. She is dedicated, prepared and grounded in the realities of both policy and practice.
What stands out most is Kyla’s ability to listen and lead at the same time. She values input from across the community and translates it into thoughtful, student-centered outcomes. Her partnership across town boards has been constructive and forward-looking — something that is increasingly important as we navigate growth and evolving needs.
Kyla’s continued leadership will help sustain the excellence of Hopkinton Public Schools while strengthening collaboration across the town. I encourage residents to support her reelection.
— Shahidul Mannan, Hopkinton
