I am writing to strongly endorse Sandra Irwin for Hopkinton School Committee.
I have spent the majority of my career working in government at both the state and municipal levels, and I have seen firsthand how critical effective governance is to the success of a public school system. I have also seen the difference it makes when the right people are in these roles. Based on that experience, I am confident Sandra is someone well prepared for the responsibilities of the School Committee.
What distinguishes Sandra is her well-rounded perspective and the way she approaches this responsibility with intention, care and a clear understanding of what is at stake. As a parent of three young children in Hopkinton Public Schools and an active member of the community, she brings personal investment, practical perspective and professional skill to decisions that translate into day-to-day experiences for students and staff.
All of Hopkinton would benefit from having Sandra as a member of the School Committee. She will bring a steady, informed voice and a genuine commitment to doing what is right for our schools and our community, both now and in the years ahead.
— Laura Oggeri, Hopkinton
