Simple, Sustainable, Powerfully Delicious Meals
Tuesday, June 23, 2-3 p.m.
Sana Javeri Kadri and Asha Loupy will chat about “The Diaspora Spice Co. Cookbook” in this virtual program. The book features 85 recipes adapted from India and Sri Lanka’s best family spice farms. Kadri and Loupy will discuss which recipes are the most beginner friendly, freezer friendly, good for a dinner party menu and lend themselves to be pantry building blocks,
Understanding AI and Misinformation
Wednesday, July 15, 11 a.m.-noon
Journalist Philip Eil will lead this presentation about artificial intelligence (AI) and its impacts on the modern information ecosystem. The conversation will lead attendees through the role AI plays in creating and spreading misinformation, applicable laws and regulations against the use of AI and how to spot AI-generated content.
CHILDREN’S & YOUNG ADULT PROGRAMS
Martell Magic Show
Tuesday, June 23, 6-7 p.m.
Scott Martell kicks off the start of the Hopkinton Public Library’s summer reading program with an interactive magic show recommended for ages 3 and up. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied at all times by a responsible person age 12 or older while visiting the library. Registration is required.
Last Day of School Arcade
Wednesday, June 24, 12:30-3:30 p.m.
One Up Games will join the Hopkinton Public Library for a day of gaming to celebrate the last day of school. Students grades 5-12 are invited to the Betty Strong Room to use gaming consoles and virtual reality gear. Board games and activities will be available in the YA Room. For younger kids, there will be activities upstairs in the Children’s Programming Room.
Mario Kart Tournament
Wednesday, July 8, 1-4 p.m.
One Up Games will host a Mario Kart tournament for anyone entering Grades 5-9. Registration is required, as space is limited.
Clay Sea Turtle Dish with Pop Up Art
Tuesday, July 14, 4-5:30 p.m.
Pop Up Art School will host a crafting program where participants will sculpt their own catch-all dish featuring a sea turtle. This program is open to patrons between the ages of 11-17.
