Arrests/Police Log, Oct. 5 edition

ARRESTS

September 29
9:49 p.m. Sergeant Scott van Raalten and Officers Brian Sanchioni, Brendon Lyver, Tyler Brabham, Stephen Buckley and Kevin Sager responded along with the Fire Department to a motor vehicle accident on West Main Street involving a patrol car and another vehicle. Personal injuries were reported. An ambulance transported a person to the hospital. A 26-year-old from Milford was arrested and charged with OUI liquor, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding in violation of special regulation.

October 3
12:15 a.m. Officer Cody Normandin conducted a motor vehicle stop on West Main Street and Officer Stephen Buckley responded as backup. A 24-year-old Northbridge resident was arrested and charged with OUI liquor and speeding in violation of special regulation.

12:43 a.m. Officer Stephen Buckley checked on Wilson Street property.
12:45 a.m. Officer Cody Normandin checked on Fruit Street property.
7:01 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle was stolen from a Constitution Court parking lot. Officer Moira McGaffigan responded and reported the car was towed due to a lack of a parking permit.
10:21 a.m. Officer Moira McGaffigan completed community relations at the Senior Center on Mayhew Street.
10:31 a.m. A walk-in reported identity theft and spoke with Officer Moira McGaffigan.
2:00 p.m. Officer Jessica Ferreira checked on Wilson Street property.
6:13 p.m. A caller requested to speak with an officer about a traffic complaint. Officer Tyler Brabham spoke with the caller.
9:59 p.m. A caller reported a belligerent drunk female got in her car on West Main Street and drove away. Officers Tyler Brabham and Brian Sanchioni responded and located her at her residence and spoke to her about the complaint.
10:13 p.m. Officer Brendon Lyver checked on a Main Street building.

September 29
1:06 a.m. Officer Brittany Firth checked on Alexander Road property.
8:00 a.m. A caller reported a dog running loose on Main Street. Officer Jessica Ferreira responded. The dog was gone upon her arrival.
9:36 a.m. Officer Jay Deiana assisted a disabled motor vehicle on Wood Street.
9:44 a.m. A caller reported losing a white wallet and wanted it logged.
10:39 a.m. A caller reported a fallen tree blocking the roadway of Spring Street. Officer Jay Deiana responded along with the DPW. Verizon was notified. The tree was removed.
12:21 p.m. A caller reported increased coyote activity on Loop Road between Fields 12 and 13. Officer Matthew Santoro responded and checked the area with a negative find. The animal control officer was notified.
12:26 p.m. A caller reported her car was hit on Cedar Street. Officer Jessica Ferreira responded to the hit and run and took a report.
12:29 p.m. An Old Elm Way resident reported a landscaping company was dumping debris on her property. Officer Moira McGaffigan responded and spoke with the landscaping crew. A report was to follow.
1:11 p.m. A caller reported fallen wires across the roadway of Fruit Street. Officer Moira McGaffigan responded and set up cones. Verizon was notified.
1:15 p.m. Officer Jessica Ferreira responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two cars on Park Street. No personal injuries were reported.
2:32 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil checked on a vehicle on Walcott Valley Drive.
3:36 p.m. A caller complained of speeding vehicles on Front Street. Officer Tyler Brabham responded and spoke with the caller and took a report.
3:47 p.m. A caller requested to speak with Officer Tyler Brabham. Officer Brendon Lyver assisted.
5:07 p.m. A caller reported two pit bulls running around Hazel Road. Officer Brian Sanchioni responded and checked the area with a negative find.
5:12 p.m. A caller reported Eversource was working on South Street without a police detail. Officer Brendon Lyver responded and spoke with the foreman, who stated there were flagmen. All was OK.
6:21 p.m. A caller reported a male blasting music from his car and acting suspicious on Hayden Rowe Street. Officers Brian Sanchioni and Tyler Brabham responded and advised the person of the complaint.
7:19 p.m. A Hayden Rowe Street caller reported she lost her tan French bulldog. The incident was logged.

September 30
12:02 a.m. A West Main Street caller reported his 18-month-old German shepherd and 8-month-old pit bull got loose and wanted it logged. The owner stated the dogs usually return within a couple of hours.
3:23 a.m. Officer Stephen Buckley made checks of Constitution Court property.
3:35 a.m. Officer Stephen Buckley contacted the owner of two loose dogs that were found and were safe in the lobby of the police station. The owner was to pick them up.
7:53 a.m. A caller reported a fight in progress among three people on Lumber Street. Sergeants Timothy Brennan and William Burchard and Officer Kevin Sager responded and utilized a translation service. The altercation had passed, and all was clear.
11:30 a.m. Officer Moira McGaffigan completed community policing on Mayhew Street.
1:43 p.m. Officer Moira McGaffigan spoke with a caller about a complaint regarding construction vehicles blocking the roadway of Grove Street.
3:20 p.m. A walk-in reported check fraud. Officer Brian Sanchioni took a report.
3:31 p.m. A West Main Street resident reported her neighbor’s chickens were messing up her yard. Officer Tyler Brabham responded and spoke with the neighbor about the complaint.
4:22 p.m. A caller reported a trailer detached from a vehicle on Wood Street. Officers Robert Ekross and Tyler Brabham responded and assisted. A tow truck transported the trailer.
5:17 p.m. A Mayhew Court caller complained of noise from the same house as earlier. This time the residents were blasting music from a car. Officer Robert Ekross responded and advised to keep the music down.
5:47 p.m. A walk-in from School Street reported a possible fraudulent check received from a Facebook Marketplace exchange. Officer Robert Ekross took a report.
6:02 p.m. A walk-in brought in a dog he found in front of Cornell’s on Hayden Rowe Street. He took the dog home until the owner was located. The animal control officer was notified. The owner was located and put in touch with the reporting person.
8:34 p.m. A North Mill Street resident requested assistance with a school issue. Officer Tyler Brabham spoke with the caller and also spoke with the school resource officer.
8:48 p.m. A Proctor Street caller reported a missing black and white pit bull mix who ran away while wearing its collar and leash. The incident was logged.
10:35 p.m. A caller reported the outside odor of natural gas on Poplar Lane. Officer Robert Ekross responded along with the Fire Department and found the odor had dissipated. No cause was determined.
11:01 p.m. A caller reported a car horn sounding and a female screaming on East Main Street. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officers Jay Deiana and Brittany Firth responded and checked the area with a negative find.

October 1
2:21 a.m. A Chestnut Street caller complained of noise from a person working outside. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officer Brittany Firth responded and spoke with the person.
8:28 a.m. A walk-in requested to speak with an officer about her neighbor. Officer Moira McGaffigan assisted.
9:06 a.m. Sergeant Timothy Brennan and Officers Matthew Santoro, Moira McGaffigan and Philip Powers completed community policing on Mayhew Street.
11:38 a.m. A walk-in reported a case of fraud. Officer Moira McGaffigan assisted and left a message for the individual.
2:24 p.m. A caller reported 30-40 packages fell from a truck on South Street. Officers Brian Sanchioni responded and reported they were off to the side of the road.
4:08 p.m. A Commonwealth Avenue resident reported a skunk rolling around in her yard. The animal control officer was notified.
4:38 p.m. Officer Cody Normandin responded to a motor vehicle accident involving two cars on West Main Street. No personal injuries were reported.
5:59 p.m. A caller reported a minor motor vehicle accident with a possible head injury on West Main Street. Officers Brian Sanchioni and Cody Normandin responded along with an ambulance. The individual refused treatment.
9:22 p.m. Officer Brian Sanchioni made checks of Loop Road.
11:03 p.m. The Milford Police Department reported an erratic operator headed toward West Main Street. Sergeant William Burchard and Officers Cody Normandin and Brittany Firth responded and checked the area with a negative find.

October 2
12:23 a.m. A caller reported an 18-wheeler stuck in a residential neighborhood on Lakepoint Way. Officer Cody Normandin responded and reported the truck was able to turn around prior to his arrival.
12:39 a.m. Officer Brittany Firth spoke with a group of juveniles on Main Street and advised them to head home.
1:12 a.m. Officer Brittany Firth checked on East Street property.
2:58 a.m. Multiple callers complained of a loud motor vehicle driving in circles on Chestnut Street. Sergeant William Burchard checked on and spoke with the motorist.
12:22 p.m. A caller reported the dogs in the back of a customer’s car on West Main Street were scaring him. Officer Jessica Ferreira responded and reported the dogs were contained and not an issue.
5:43 p.m. A caller reported an erratic operator speeding and passing cars on Chestnut Street. Officer Cody Normandin responded and notified the Holliston Police Department.
10:26 p.m. Officer Cody Normandin completed checks of a Main Street building.

October 3
2:35 a.m. Officer Stephen Buckley checked on Wilson Street property.
2:39 a.m. Officer Stephen Buckley checked on Ash Street property.
2:05 p.m. A walk-in reported losing a Harley Davidson key and fob while on a ride through town on Route 85. The incident was logged.
3:53 p.m. Officer Cody Normandin completed community policing on Blueberry Lane.
5:00 p.m. Officer Cody Normandin completed community relations on Main Street with a ride-along.
5:38 p.m. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil assisted the State Police on West Elm Street.
9:35 p.m. Officer Robert Ekross checked on an unoccupied vehicle on Wood Street.
11:54 p.m. Officer Jessica Ferreira checked on Wilson Street property.

October 4
12:07 a.m. The Ashland Police Department requested assistance searching for an 11-year-old boy who ran away from his residence. Officer Jessica Ferreira responded and found the boy on East Main Street and took him to the Ashland Police Department.
8:12 a.m. A caller reported flooding and potential road hazard on West Main Street. Officer Jay Deiana responded and confirmed a large puddle was causing a road hazard. The DPW was notified.
8:59 a.m. Officer Matthew Santoro called an individual about lost property.
10:40 a.m. The DPW reported an uprooted tree was leaning on Frankland Road and could be a road hazard. Sergeant Aaron O’Neil and Officer Jessica Ferreira responded and closed the road and placed detour signs in the area while the tree was cut down.
10:57 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle hit a turkey on West Main Street. The DPW was notified to pick up the deceased bird.
4:01 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious male in a Main Street parking lot. Officers Brendon Lyver and Brian Sanchioni responded and placed the individual into protective custody.
5:18 p.m. A caller reported leaving a phone in a West Main Street lobby. Officer Tyler Brabham picked up the phone.
6:13 p.m. A motorist reported two pieces of metal in the roadway of East Main Street. Officer Brendon Lyver responded and removed the metal.
11:50 p.m. Officers Kevin Sager and Brittany Firth checked on Fruit Street property.
