Letter to the Editor: Ritterbusch has answers

by | Jun 12, 2020 | Letter to Editor

I am writing a letter in support of Amy Ritterbusch for Select Board. I have known Amy for four years and have worked with her for a little over three years on the Hopkinton Historic District Commission.

Amy is the first person I contact when I have absolutely any questions about town happenings and she always has the answers. Her dedication to this town and knowledge of current issues are exemplary.

With specific regards to the Historic District Commission, Amy has been exceptional in her role as chair. So much so, in fact, that for at least the last two years the majority of the board has insisted that she stay on in the role of chair for another year because she is so good at it. Amy comes to each meeting with printouts of documents for everyone, as well as having gone the extra step of researching agenda topics and talking to town employees if necessary prior to coming to the meeting. Amy also works well with others and listens attentively to the ideas and concerns of the town. Her attention to detail and eagerness to work for the improvement of our town will be a welcome addition to the Select Board.

On a personal note, I have always been so impressed with how honest and fair Amy is in everything she does. She always strives to do the right thing, which I think is an important trait to have as a member of the Select Board, and in life.

Please stay safe and cast your absentee ballot for Amy Ritterbusch by Monday, June 29th.

Respectfully,

— Beth Watson, Hopkinton

I write following up my comments at the March 3 Select Board meeting, which I made with respect to the Select Board’s executive session on Jan. 30, 2018. That session was attended by, I believe, 13 individuals, including Peter Sismanis, his attorney, town counsel,...

Letter to the Editor: Scoop your dog’s poop
