HHS reports another COVID case, reaches out to affected families

by | Nov 8, 2020 | Education, Z-Lead Image Front Page

Hopkinton High School principal Evan Bishop emailed families on Sunday evening to notify them that an individual in the HHS community tested positive for COVID-19.

“The Hopkinton Public Schools are working closely with the Community Tracing Collaborative (CTC) and Hopkinton Board of Health to ensure the health and safety of all,” Bishop wrote. “We are in communication with affected families. If you have not heard from either the CTC or the Board of Health, you should plan to participate in school on Monday as you typically would. A plan is in place to move forward with the education of all students.”

The last COVID case at the school was just over two weeks ago, when a member of the freshman class tested positive. Those who had contact with the student were told to study remotely until they were able to get tested (and get their results), and no further cases were reported.
