Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
Halloween is tomorrow, and residents have been creative with their displays. We’ve got photos here. Also don’t forget the Health Department recommendations for ensuring a safe and healthy trick-or-treat experience.
Hopkinton’s latest COVID-19 update shows the numbers continue to rise, with 13 active cases in town. There also is information on Halloween safety, small business grants and election stress.
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts’ Wicked Run to $5K (virtual) and family scavenger hunt (in person) are tomorrow.
Hopkinton High School graduate Christian MacDonald, a sophomore at Texas Christian University, made the TCU football team as a walk-on this fall. “I felt like I was living a dream,” he said of putting on a uniform and standing on the sideline for his first game last month.
Today is the last day for early in-person voting. Those who still have mail-in ballots are encouraged to use the drop box in front of Town Hall rather than mailing them back. The election is Tuesday at Hopkinton Middle School.
Tomorrow is the last day to fill out the town’s survey of residents’ opinions about community and services.
