Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
An email from Hopkinton Public School administrators was sent out to schools families on Wednesday, one day after 19 students and two adults died in a school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. “We are writing, heartbroken, for the educators, students and families of Uvalde, Texas,” the email reads.
This week’s edition of the Police Log includes one arrest along with reports of an assault on Whalen Road, a vehicle hitting a utility pole and causing a loss of power at Legacy Farms North, and an individual getting locked inside Hopkinton State Park.
Town meetings tonight include the Tax Relief Comittee (5), Lake Maspenock Weed Management & Control Advisory Group (5), Parks & Recreation Commission (5:30), School Committee (7) and Open Space Preservation Commission (7).
