Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a photo and video of the day.
Knotweed, a fast-growing plant that dominates and destroys other plant life, is one of the invasive species creating issues in Hopkinton. Its roots can sneak under and break up pavement; its vines will overtake structures, exploiting cracks and weaknesses.
Strong academics, big-time athletics and a top-notch soccer conference was enough to draw Hopkinton’s Sophia Recupero to Duke University for the fall of 2024, a school she said felt like the perfect fit.
The latest Senior Snippets include information on TED Talks, a Medicare presentation and the Friends of the Senior Center holiday sale.
This week’s Library Corner highlights a global diversity film series, an adult craft night and trick-or-treating at the library.
Town meetings tonight include the Select Board (5) and Elementary School Building Committee (6).
