Letter to the Editor: Coutinho has experience, leadership

by | Jun 8, 2020 | Letter to Editor

I have worked with John Coutinho in many different roles over the years, including his involvement with the Boston Marathon for the town. His participation consistently and regularly enhances the outcome for Hopkinton.

I currently work with John on the Zoning Advisory Council, the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Council. John is the Select Board liaison to each of these groups and provides an invaluable flow of information back and forth. His experience and institutional knowledge help these groups to learn from the past and navigate the way forward in these challenging times.

Our local, state and national economies are seriously compromised, and the reopening is just beginning. I believe that we need John’s experience, connections and leadership capabilities to emerge successfully on the other side of this pandemic. Hopkinton will need to manage expenses closely but also look to expand our commercial and industrial tax revenue. John Coutinho is the steady hand that we need in this uncertain time to chart our course forward.

Please join me in voting for John Coutinho on June 29th.

— Ron Foisy, Hopkinton
