Letter to the Editor: Krishna for School Committee

by | Apr 24, 2026 | Letter to Editor

I am pleased to support Sravana Krishna for the Hopkinton School Committee. As a current member of the committee, I understand the importance of thoughtful, informed leadership, and I believe Sravana would be a strong addition.

Sravana has demonstrated a sustained commitment to our community through active service on multiple local boards, including the Zoning Advisory Committee, Design Review Board, Economic Development Advisory Board and Friends of SEPAC (Special Education Parents Advisory Council). Notably, this work began well before his candidacy and reflects a consistent willingness to contribute time, expertise, and perspective to the town’s ongoing work.

Professionally, Sravana brings over 25 years of experience as a senior technology executive, along with expertise in artificial intelligence and strategic leadership. As our schools prepare students for an increasingly complex and technology-driven world, his perspective will be both timely and valuable.

He also brings a strong commitment to inclusion and student-centered support. Through his work with SEPAC, he demonstrates a clear commitment to ensuring all students have access to meaningful opportunities, with support structures that enable them to fully participate in and benefit from our high-performing schools.

From my experience on the committee, I know that effective governance requires balancing vision with practical realities. His prior service across multiple boards provides him with a practical understanding of how local government functions, which is critical for School Committee work. Sravana’s background in leadership and budgeting positions him well to engage in this work thoughtfully and collaboratively.

I believe Sravana Krishna would be a valuable contributor to the School Committee and encourage community members to consider his candidacy.

— Jamie Wronka, Hopkinton
