Letter to the Editor: Krishna for School Committee

by | May 13, 2026 | Letter to Editor

I am writing to express my support of my friend Sravana Krishna for the Hopkinton School Committee. I have known Sravan Krishna because our children are in the same classroom. Over the years, I have had many deep conversations with Sravan, and more often than not, those conversations have been about our schools.

What stands out to me is his passion to listen. He genuinely seeks out the growth opportunities in our system, and more importantly, he works to solve for them. He doesn’t just identify problems. He brings real solutions grounded in real experience.

As a technologist myself, I also recognize the sense of urgency around preparing our children for the rapidly changing future. Sravan understands this better than anyone running. With his background in AI and 27 years of senior technology leadership, he is uniquely positioned to help our schools navigate what is coming.

In Sravan, I see representation for our cultural perspectives on education. With one third of our student population being Asian American and zero current representation, his candidacy would be complementary.

But beyond representation, Sravan brings a proven track record of service. He has served on multiple Hopkinton boards, including the Board of Friends of SEPAC, the Zoning Advisory Committee, the Design Review Board and the Economic Development Advisory Board. The work came first. The campaign came out of necessity to solve for the opportunities he sees in our schools.

Sravan brings exactly the service-oriented mindset our schools need right now. Thoughtful. Experienced. Focused on every child.

I am proud to support him, and I hope you will, too.

— Goutam Ghoshal, Hopkinton
