Letter to the Editor: Mannan for Select Board

by | Apr 27, 2025 | Letter to Editor

As our community approaches the critical choice of electing our next members, I humbly request my fellow citizens to support Shahidul Mannan for Select Board.

In a time when public education faces unprecedented challenges at the federal level, it is more important than ever to elect leaders who are steadfast champions of strong, inclusive public schools. Mr. Mannan has consistently demonstrated a commitment to investing in education, ensuring that every child has access to public schools with the capabilities they deserve.

Beyond education, Mr. Mannan brings diversity of thought and experiences that reflect the richness of our community. He understands that leadership is about embracing different perspectives, listening to constituents and crafting solutions that serve all families.

Mr. Mannan has a long history of public service. His proven track record as a member of the Select Board shows a deep understanding of the complex issues facing our local institutions. He has navigated difficult decisions with integrity, always putting the needs of the community first.

Finally, at a time of uncertainty about decisions being influenced by distant policymakers, Mr. Mannan would provide the local control necessary to ensure that decisions impacting our families are made right here at home, by people who know and love all the constituents in this community.

We need leaders who will fight for our public schools, value every voice, and champion local values. Shahidul Mannan is exactly the leader our community needs.

— Sravana Krishna, Hopkinton
