Main Street Corridor Project update: Another week of eastbound detours

by | Nov 6, 2022 | News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, the eastbound detour from Grove Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street and back to Main Street will be in place Monday through Thursday. Additionally, the eastbound detour from Pleasant Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street and back to Main Street will be in effect Monday through Thursday.

There will be no work on Friday for Veterans Day.

At the Route 135/Route 85 intersection, workers will cement concrete driveways at Country Farm Liquors (3 Cedar Street), the Post Office, the Shell gas station and CVS, and perform concrete sidewalk work at the intersection.

On the east side of the project, the contractor will continue installing conduit services between Muffin House and Hayden Rowe Street. Eversource will perform vault work between the 135/85 intersection and Ash Street.

On the west side of the project, the contractor will work on sidewalks on the south side between the Fire Station and Pleasant Street, while Eversource will perform vault work between the 185/35 intersection and Claflin Avenue.

Working hours for the Main Street Corridor Project are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. No detours, one-lane closures or road closures are allowed from 7-9 a.m.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
