Main Street Corridor Project update: Eastbound detour to be used as needed this week

by | Jun 18, 2023 | Business, News

As part of the Main Street Corridor Project this week, there will be no work on Monday in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. For the rest of the week, the eastbound detour from Grove Street to Maple Street to Hayden Rowe Street may be used as needed.

On the east side of the project, workers will continue installation of conduit and bases for site lighting from Muffin House Cafe to Ash Street (work will take place in the excavated sidewalk area). Additionally, crews will work on installation of the granite curb and grade sidewalks from Muffin House Cafe to Ash Street. A sub-contractor is scheduled to be on-site to pour foundations for the pedestrian push button posts at Church Street and Hayden Rowe on Wednesday and Thursday.

Working hours for the Main Street Corridor Project are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. No detours, one-lane closures or road closures are allowed from 7-9 a.m.

This schedule may change due to weather and existing conditions found while performing the planned tasks. For the most up-to-date information, visit the town’s project website at hopkintonmainstreet.com.
