Town staff to answer questions about proposed RECC Tuesday afternoon

The town announced that staff will hold office hours to answer residents’ questions about a potential Regional Emergency Communications Center (RECC) on Tuesday, Jan. 3, from 3-4 p.m.

The communications director, police chief, fire chief and town manager are slated to be in attendance. Residents also can call in questions or comments remotely via Zoom.

Reports on the potential RECC are available via the town’s website. There also will be a public information session Wednesday, Jan. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hopkinton Senior Center.

    I would like to see reports from 2-3 other regions in MA or other New England states or elsewhere, with experience evaluating and implementing this. Those that opted not to proceed and those That implemented and their assessment of their pros and cons.
