With storm heading to town, Friday trash pickup delayed to Saturday, municipal offices closed

by | Feb 24, 2022 | News

Editor’s note: This story has been updated with municipal offices being closed as well.

The town’s Department of Public Works announced Thursday that trash pickup for Friday will be delayed one day due to the storm that is forecasted to drop 5-8 inches of snow in the area.

The storm, which might include rain and/or sleet, is predicted to start very early Friday morning and last until the evening.

Residents are requested not to place trash barrels at the curb until Saturday morning so that the barrels do not get buried by snow when the plows pass by.

The town announced later in the day that municipal offices, including Town Hall, will be closed physically. Operations will continue remotely.
