Good morning, Hopkinton! Welcome to the daily update we call Hopkinton Today — a quick recap of yesterday’s news, highlights of what’s on tap, and a video or two to brighten your morning.
At Tuesday’s meeting, the Conservation Commission issued fines to The Trails, Hopkinton, and Pulte Homes for stormwater mitigation violations at their developments, both of which are located off Legacy Farms Road North.
The town announced Wednesday that the Main Street Corridor Project contractor, A.F. Amorello & Sons, struck an active gas line while doing work Monday near the intersection of Main Street and Pleasant Street, violating the state’s Dig Safe law in the process.
This week’s edition of the Police Log includes an OUI arrest as well as reports of a five-car motor vehicle accident, a snake in the road, a coyote in a yard, a bat in a house and cars being egged.
The Hopkinton Cultural Council announced Wednesday that it is extending the deadline for ideas for the Art on the Trail exhibit. Submissions — which can be a written description, sketch or picture of a piece — now are welcomed until Aug. 18.
Town meetings tonight include the School Committee (7) and Cemetery Commission (7).
