The Hopkinton Water and Sewer Department announced that there will be a required fire flow test Thursday at 9 a.m. on South Street.
Due to the location and volume of water, there may be discoloration throughout town after the test is complete, the department noted.
Individuals are advised to check their water before using it, and they may need to run the cold water line to clear the internal pipes after the test is complete.
