May 26
1:21 a.m. The Upton Police Department requested assistance in closing West Main Street at School Street due to a motor vehicle accident on Hopkinton Road in Upton. Officer Jennifer Manning assisted.
4:28 a.m. A caller reported a tree fell across Saddle Hill Road and was blocking the road and leaning on wires. Officer Jennifer Manning responded and contacted Eversource and the DPW.
5:57 a.m. A Brian Lane resident complained of people working at the new Charleswood School on Hayden Rowe Street and using leaf blowers in violation of town noise bylaw. Officer Lucille Creedon responded and spoke with the workers, who had not begun work yet.
6:29 a.m. A walk-in handed in a wallet found near the donation bin at St. John’s on Church Street. The owner was contacted and was to go to the station to retrieve the wallet.
7:29 a.m. A caller reported illegal dumping on Constitution Court. Officer Benjamin Vaz responded and took a report.
7:46 a.m. A walk-in reported a school bus blatantly ran a red light on Cedar Street just as the caller was about to cross at the crosswalk. Sgt. Matthew Santoro was to handle the incident with the bus company.
8:05 a.m. A motorist on Alprilla Farm Road reported the driver of a transportation service bus was tailgating him and he wanted the incident logged. Officer Augusto Diaz was to speak with the driver.
8:21 a.m. A caller reported an erratic driver tailgating her, swearing and giving her the finger. The incident was logged.
9:41 a.m. Officer Benjamin Vaz took a motor vehicle crash report on Daniel Shays Road.
9:52 a.m. A caller complained of a woman on a bike riding the wrong way on Wood Street on the curvy section. Sgt. William Burchard responded and spoke with the cyclist.
11:39 a.m. A caller reported losing a navy blue wallet containing credit cards, cash and a driver’s license the previous day during the Memorial Day event at St. John’s on Church Street. The incident was logged.
4:52 p.m. Sgt. Cody Normandin issued a parking citation on Lakeshore Drive.
6:16 p.m. A caller reported an Asian male in a gray T-shirt took off on foot from his Walcott Valley Drive home. Multiple officers responded to the missing person report, found the male and took him home. A report followed.
8:41 p.m. A Benson Road resident reported she believed people filed a false DCF report against her, and she wanted the incident logged.
May 27
7:03 a.m. Officer Nicholas Walker spoke to workers at a paving company whose trucks were taking up a travel lane on Fruit Street without a detail.
8:24 a.m. Officer Augusto Diaz completed community relations at Elmwood School on Elm Street.
9:58 a.m. A caller reported a turtle in the roadway on West Elm Street. Officer Augusto Diaz responded and assisted.
10:55 a.m. A motorist on Lakeshore Drive reported her car battery was dead. Officer Nicholas Walker responded and assisted the disabled motor vehicle.
11:27 a.m. A caller reported a motor vehicle crash involving two cars on Hayden Rowe Street. Officers Nicholas Walker and Nicholas Saletnik responded and took a report.
12:03 p.m. A caller reported an Amazon driver nearly hit a female on Westfield Road. Officers Augusto Diaz and Nicholas Walker responded and spoke with the driver, who apologized.
2:46 p.m. A motorist reported he was run off the road on Chestnut Street by a red Honda. Officer Augusto Diaz took a report.
2:49 p.m. A caller reported two people fist fighting on Oak Street. Officers Sean McKeon and Nicholas Walker responded, and the individuals were gone upon their arrival.
3:10 p.m. A caller reported a gas tank in the roadway on Cedar Street. Officer Sean McKeon responded along with the Fire Department and removed the tank.
4:26 p.m. A caller requested an officer to check Lumber Street for an unregistered solicitor. Sgt. Shannon Beloin responded and spoke with the solicitor, who stated he would go to the station to complete a solicitor application.
7:50 p.m. Officer Sean McKeon removed part of a fallen tree from the roadway on East Street. The DPW was notified about removing the rest.
8:09 p.m. Officer Noah Buentello made checks of Sandy Beach on Lakeshore Drive.
9:59 p.m. A caller requested an officer to check on a group of juveniles hanging out in the cul-de-sac of Valentine Road. Sgt. Shannon Beloin spoke with two males, and they went on their way.
11:57 p.m. A Deneen Road caller reported she received blackmail threats. Officer Aline Matos responded and took a report of fraud.
May 28
12:13 a.m. Officer Aline Matos assisted the State Police on West Main Street.
8:13 a.m. Officers Nicholas Walker and Augusto Diaz assisted the Fire Department with a house lockout on East Street.
8:56 a.m. Sgt. William Burchard took a report of a stolen license plate on Main Street.
11:30 a.m. A caller reported a turtle in the roadway on Cunningham Street. Officer Nicholas Saletnik responded and removed it.
2:17 p.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik responded to Deneen Road to keep the peace while fines were served.
3:21 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle hit his vehicle in a Hayden Rowe Street parking lot.
4:12 p.m. A caller reported seeing a female driver, whom she knows does not have a license, get on the highway in Milford. Officer Noah Buentello checked the area with a negative find.
6:48 p.m. A caller reported his dog was attacked by another dog on Granite Street. A message was left with the animal control officer.
10:46 p.m. A custodian at the high school reported a senior prank of toilet paper on trees and benches as well as trash barrels moved. Officers Noah Buentello, Justin Cappuccio, and Sean McKeon responded and spoke with the parties, who said they were just goofing around.
May 29
8:15 a.m. Officer Benjamin Vaz made checks of the high school on Hayden Rowe Street.
9:06 a.m. A call complained of cars not stopping at the stop sign on Proctor Street. Officer Noah Buentello was to monitor the area.
10:24 a.m. Officer Nicholas Walker assisted a disabled motor vehicle on Main Street.
11:30 a.m. Officer Noah Buentello responded to a motor vehicle crash on West Main Street and issued a criminal application for a suspended license. A tow truck removed the vehicle, and Officer Buentello transported the driver back to his residence.
1:37 p.m. A caller reported her Yorkie got loose on West Main street and was missing. The animal control officer was notified.
2:07 p.m. An employee at a South Street business reported a customer was harassing her. Officer Nicholas Walker assisted and advised her of possible actions to take.
3:18 p.m. A Donna Pass caller reported her wallet was stolen, and someone in Florida was trying to use her identity. Officer Matthew LaTour took a report of fraud.
7:05 p.m. A walk-in reported her husband was bugging her vehicle. Officer Matthew LaTour assisted the reporting person.
9:52 p.m. Officer Justin Cappuccio made checks of the LNG plant on Wilson Street.
May 30
7:43 a.m. A caller reported finding a loose dog on Church Street while he was out walking his dog. It slipped out of its collar and ran off. The owner subsequently showed up to retrieve it.
9:20 a.m. Officer Benjamin Vaz checked on a vehicle on Mayhew Street and found it unoccupied.
9:23 a.m. Multiple callers reported a tree fell on a power line on Wood Street and a transformer blew, a pole split in half and a tree fell across the roadway. Sgt. Arthur Schofield and Officers Benjamin Vaz and Jennifer Manning responded and placed detour signs in the area. Eversource was notified.
10:20 a.m. A caller reported a tree fell on wires on Lincoln Street. Officer Benjamin Vaz responded and set up cones to block the road, which was inaccessible. Eversource was notified.
10:47 a.m. A Cedar Street caller reported she left three messages the previous week with the town tree warden about dangerous trees in the area. She wanted the call logged for reference.
11:56 a.m. A caller reported a tree snapped and was hung up on wires on Claflin Street. Officer Benjamin Vaz placed cones in the area and notified Eversource.
3:49 p.m. A caller reported an abandoned detached trailer on Walcott Street. Sgt. Cody Normandin responded and advised the owner to find a new location to park it.
5:02 p.m. Sgt. Shannon Beloin checked on Parkwood Drive property.
10:03 p.m. A Hayward Street caller reported possible fireworks in the area. Officer Matthew LaTour responded and reported the noise was from Eversource working on the power in the area.
11:08 p.m. Sgt. Cody Normandin and Officer Nicholas Walker checked on a vehicle parked on Lakeshore Drive and moved the occupants along.
11:49 p.m. Officer Nicholas Walker checked on Constitution Court property.
May 31
12:11 a.m. A Mayhew Court caller complained of people outside being loud. Officer Jennifer Manning responded and advised them to be better neighbors.
12:53 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle hit a curb on Main Street and was overheating. Sgt. Cody Normandin and Officer Nicholas Walker assisted.
1:09 a.m. A caller reported a dog was left outside on School Street. Officer Nicholas Walker and Sgt. Cody Normandin responded, and the dog was taken indoors.
9:03 a.m. A West Elm Street resident reported a coyote was stuck in her fence. Officers Matthew LaTour and Jennifer Manning and the animal control officer responded. The animal control officer checked with Tufts about taking the animal.
9:45 a.m. Officer Jennifer Manning issued a citation to a vehicle parked on Lakeshore Drive without a boat ramp parking sticker.
12:48 p.m. Officer Matthew LaTour took a motor vehicle crash report on Main Street.
12:56 p.m. A walk-in reported St. John’s rummage sale signs were stolen from a West Main Street intersection. The incident was logged.
1:35 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle was parked in a fire lane on Constitution Court. Officer Jennifer Manning responded and advised the owner to move the vehicle.
1:55 p.m. A caller reported a person was operating heavy equipment in violation of town bylaw. Officer Jennifer Manning responded and shut down the work for the day.
4:01 p.m. A Jackson Street resident reported someone knocked on her door and then was sitting in his car. Officer Brian Ziniti responded and found two solicitors in a car. All was OK.
4:35 p.m. Officer Brian Ziniti issued a parking violation on Cedar Street.
June 1
8:31 a.m. Officer Augusto Diaz made checks of Loop Road.
8:35 a.m. A caller on East Main Street reported a contractor who was terminated was on-site taking his equipment and also supplies that did not belong to him. Officers Tyler Staback and Augusto Diaz responded to keep the peace and make sure that everyone was taking the proper materials.
11:04 a.m. A passerby on Chestnut Street reported a dump truck was dumping nails in the roadway. Officer Augusto Diaz responded and notified the DPW.
1:43 p.m. A caller reported her vehicle was broken into on Constitution Court. Officer Benjamin Vaz responded and took a report.
5:49 p.m. A motorist complained of a vehicle on Ash Street taking up a lane of traffic. Officer Nicholas Saletnik responded and advised the owner to move the vehicle.
5:57 p.m. A Main Street caller reported a solicitor walked into her house. Sgt. Cody Normandin and Officer Sean McKeon responded but were unable to make contact with the reporting person.
10:17 p.m. A caller reported a white Volkswagen speeding up and down Legacy Farms South. Officers Brian Ziniti and Nicholas Saletnik checked the area with a negative find.
