Election Day details: How to vote or check on status of mail-in ballot

by | Nov 2, 2020 | News, Z-Lead Image Front Page

The following election information is from the town clerk’s office.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. All Hopkinton precincts vote at Hopkinton Middle School (88 Hayden Rowe St.). Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m.-8 p.m.

Anyone still in possession of a mail-in ballot can return it to the drop box in front of Town Hall (18 Main St.) before 8 p.m. on Tuesday. It also may be mailed, as long as it is postmarked by Tuesday. Mail-in ballots should not be brought to the polls at the middle school.

An individual who has not returned a mail-in ballot can choose to vote at the polls instead.  However, anyone who already has voted via mail-in ballot cannot change their vote at the polls.

To find the status of a mail-in ballot — to determine if it has been received by the town clerk’s office — go to the secretary of state’s Track My Ballot website.

More election information is available on the secretary of state’s website.

Voter registration status also can be checked at the secretary of state’s website.
