ARRESTS

Aug. 15
10:41 p.m. Units responded to Hayden Rowe Street for a report of a male on top of a female. A 64-year-old Framingham man was taken into custody and charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct. Officers gave the female party a courtesy transport to Grove Street.

Aug. 12
6:56 a.m. A caller reported a jogger in the middle of the roadway on West Main Street causing a traffic hazard. Officer Brian Ziniti responded, and the individual was gone upon arrival.
7:27 a.m. Officers responded to Woodview Way following reports from a caller about a male party sleeping in his vehicle and drinking and smoking for several days. The officers spoke to the reporting party, who believed the man left prior to officers’ arrival on scene.
8:42 a.m. A Colella Farm Road resident reported a truck in her driveway and a male and female walking around her house. Officer Jennifer Manning checked the area with a negative find.
8:43 a.m. A caller reported a complaint about a police license plate. Lt. Matthew McNeil spoke with the caller regarding the issue.
10:44 a.m. A walk-in reported she had found several driver’s licenses and credit cards in Ashland. A message was left for the owner, and the incident was logged.
11:22 a.m. A caller reported a disabled motor vehicle in a bad spot on Winter Street. Officer Kyle Quinzani responded, and the vehicle was gone upon arrival.
3:49 p.m. Officer Benjamin Vaz checked Hayden Rowe Street after a caller reported a truck and trailer in the roadway causing vehicles to go into the other lane. He determined the truck was not a hazard, and the parties involved were wrapping up for the day.
5:40 p.m. Officer Nicholas Saletnik came across a dog in the roadway on Wood Street. It ran into a yard.
5:45 p.m. A caller reported youths operating e-bikes on the Town Common and requested they be removed. An officer spoke with the youths, who were to ride elsewhere.
6:04 p.m. A Kruger Road resident reported that a tow company picked up her Ford, and she contacted the lender, who informed her there wasn’t an issue with her loan. She requested to speak to an officer and was advised to call Ocean State Towing.
9:11 p.m. A caller reported her 12-year-old daughter was walking in the Price Chopper lot when a man in a van approached her and was talking about smoking marijuana. Sgt. Cody Normandin checked the area.

Aug. 13
1:46 a.m. Officer Jennifer Manning reported a large tree blocking the northbound lane of South Street. The DPW was notified and was to take care of it.
2:04 a.m. A Nazneen Circle caller reported her camera was notifying her a person was at her front door. Officer Brian Ziniti checked the property and found no sign of forced entry or anything suspicious on scene. He spoke to the resident, and all was OK.
9:08 a.m. Animal control was advised of a missing dog from Montana Road by a walk-in. Officers recommended the party check in with Baypath Humane Society.
10:29 a.m. Officer Augusto Diaz Jr. took a follow-up incident report of a student leaving a class on Main Street and running toward a church.
11:49 a.m. A caller asked to book a detail to retrieve his belongings from a Lumber Street residence. Dispatch initially was unable to reach a female party at the residence from whom the caller needed permission. She eventually was reached and agreed to a time and date for the caller to pick up his belongings.
12:36 p.m. A caller wanted to file a complaint against an individual working a traffic detail on Main Street. She reported that the party was not paying attention to traffic, was on his phone and was in and out of his vehicle. It was determined the individual was not an HPD member and not a traffic constable.
3:56 p.m. Officer Benjamin Vaz checked East Street for a branch on wires. It was determined a large branch was on the primary wires, and Eversource was contacted.
7:35 p.m. A caller reported a cat that has been missing for a long time had been found, but they were unable to corral the pet. Sgt. Shannon Beloin responded, and the cat took off into the woods. It was believed it was not the missing cat, and a message was left for animal control.

Aug. 14
5:54 a.m. A caller reported a dog on School Street had been barking since 4 a.m., and he was concerned that if the dog was outside that a coyote might attack it. Officer Matthew Santoro checked the area for the dog with a negative find.
12:15 p.m. The DPW reported illegal dumping on Frankland Road. Officer Noah Buentello took an incident report.
2:53 p.m. A Church Street caller reported three juveniles playing ding dong ditch and heading toward a church. Officer Benjamin Vaz responded, but the juveniles were gone upon arrival.
3:50 p.m. Sgt. Shannon Beloin was out with a tractor-trailer in the roadway on West Main Street making a delivery to Dunkin’. The vehicle was to clear out shortly.
9:03 p.m. A Huckleberry Road resident reported she had a bat in her house. Officer Sean McKeon assisted. The bat was caught with gloves and returned outside.
10:41 p.m. Sgt. Cody Normandin tried to locate a male party on West Main Street. He was unable to locate the man, who was believed to be an ex-employee of Price Chopper.

Aug. 15
12:21 a.m. A caller reported a tree down on Lumber Street blocking a third of the roadway. It was a small tree branch on the left side of the roadway heading south, and a message was left for the DPW.
4:40 p.m. A Meserve Street caller reported her neighbor’s dogs were loose and lunged at her. She stated this was a known issue, and animal control has been contacted.
5:35 p.m. Sgt. Cody Normandin responded to Davis Road after a caller requested an officer for assistance with her wheelchair.
7:33 p.m. A caller reported loud music coming from a home on Nicholas Road. Officer Matthew LaTour spoke to the homeowner and advised them of the complaint. Officers returned to the residence at 8:38 p.m. after another caller made a noise complaint. The music was turned down, and all was to be in order.
7:46 p.m. A caller reported a male party on a Segway on Kruger Road who most likely was not registered as a solicitor. Officer Matthew LaTour checked the area, and the party was gone on arrival.
8:37 p.m. A Pleasant Street resident called to report someone knocked on his door loudly and then took off. Units responded and checked the area with a negative find.
11:19 p.m. Massachusetts State Police transferred a 911 call from a Toyota vehicle reporting collision detection on Cedar Street. Officers responded and reported a two-car crash with airbag deployment. They requested assistance from the HFD and took a crash report.

Aug. 16
1:20 a.m. Units responded to East Main Street after a caller reported a male wearing a black shirt and khaki pants sitting on the ground by the side of the road. Officers checked the area, including Legacy Farms North and South. The party was gone on arrival.
9:51 a.m. A caller on Colella Farm Road stated there were beer bottles, cans and other debris in the road from a party officers responded to on Nicholas Road the night before. Officer Aline Matos responded and was able to move broken glass to the side of the road. She was to notify the DPW to remove the debris.
10:56 a.m. A caller reported an abandoned vehicle that had been parked for a few months in the Hopkinton Corporate Center parking lot on Parkwood Drive. The caller was advised that the HPD could not have it towed unless requested by the property owner. Sgt. Shannon Beloin checked the vehicle, which she determined had been on the property for a long period of time. The property owner was to have it removed per the HPD’s instructions.
1:23 p.m. Units responded to Lakeshore Drive for a report of a 22-year-old female being struck by a car. Officers assisted with accident reconstruction and took a crash report.
9:54 p.m. A caller reported an erratic operator on Hayden Rowe Street who then pulled into a driveway and got out of the vehicle. Officers checked and reported the party was not in the area.
10:55 p.m. A caller on Foxhollow Road stated her car was broken down and requested a jump-start. Units provided assistance to the driver.

Aug. 17
8:23 a.m. Officer Matthew Santoro responded to Spruce Street and assisted Hopkinton Fire after a report of an oven fire. It burned out and was under control.
10:25 a.m. A constable reported a vehicle parked in the way of construction on Main Street. Officer Augusto Diaz Jr. responded and spoke to the vehicle’s owner.
2:16 p.m. Bellingham Police requested HPD make contact with a party in regard to a hit-and-run investigation. Officer Aline Matos spoke with the party and advised them to contact Bellingham.
8:58 p.m. A caller reported a black and white dog running around in the road on Hayden Rowe Street. They lost sight of the dog but wanted to report the animal was loose. Officer Matthew LaTour checked the area with a negative find.
11:41 p.m. Dispatch reviewed security cameras at Sandy Beach and noticed a person walking toward the water near the restrooms. They appeared to be walking toward the parking lot. Units responded and were unable to locate the person.

Aug. 18
10:21 a.m. A caller reported an erratic operator exited Interstate 495 onto West Main Street heading toward Upton. Units checked up to the town line with a negative find. Upton Police were notified.
11:53 p.m. Officer Lucille Creedon checked a parking lot on Woodview Way after a complaint about someone parking in a reserved handicapped space. The caller was advised to speak with property management in the morning but to call HPD if the issue escalated.
